Whirlpool Error Codes

Long Drain — water is taking too long to drain (over 8 minutes).

Main Control Board Failure — the central control board has detected an error.

Door Lid Lock Fault — the lid lock is not engaging or the sensor is not reading it.

Dispenser Fault — the detergent/fabric softener dispenser is not operating correctly.

Water Temperature Too Hot — the water temperature sensor detected an unsafe temperature.

Load Detected with Door Locked During Clean Washer Cycle — items are in the drum during the cleaning cycle.

Motor Speed Sensor Fault — the control board cannot detect the correct motor speed.

Long Drain — water is taking more than 8 minutes to drain.

Remove Laundry — items were detected in the drum at the start of a Clean Washer cycle.

Inlet Hose Not Connected — hot or cold water inlet hose is disconnected or not opening properly.

Primary Control Board Failure — the main electronic control board has detected a fault.

Outlet Thermistor Error — the exhaust temperature sensor has failed.

Drive Motor Failure — the motor that turns the drum has failed.

Control board failure — the main electronic control board is not communicating correctly.

Keypad/touchpad failure — buttons on the control panel are not responding correctly.

Power failure — the dryer lost power during a cycle.

Slow Drain / Drain Pump Error — water is draining too slowly or not at all.

Water Inlet Valve Error — the machine is not filling with water.

Thermistor / Temperature Sensor Error — water temperature sensor fault.

Overflow condition — water level has exceeded safe limits.

Diverter stuck — the valve that directs water to upper or lower spray arms is stuck.

Oven Temperature Sensor Shorted — the oven temperature probe is reading a short circuit.

Door Lock Error — oven door latch is not locking or unlocking correctly.

Oven Temperature Sensor Open — the oven temperature probe is reading an open (broken) circuit.

Control Board Fault — the electronic range control has detected an internal error.

Oven Temperature Sensor Open — the oven probe is reading an open circuit.

Door Latch Not Locking During Self-Clean — the door latch cannot engage to begin self-clean.
